Our last three Springboard releases have delivered a heaping helping of fundraising, advocacy, peer-to-peer, and general marketing goodness, including highlights like local advocacy, a new peer-to-peer communications hub, new gift string types and remote market source codes, and a brand new Springboard Knowledge Base.
Our new persistent gift strings piggyback on personalized gift strings, detecting the presence of a donor's personalized string and ensuring via a cookie that this string is offered to the individual donor by default on all of the organization's other donation forms. Personalized gift string behavior can be customized on a campaign-specific basis and also overridden when necessary for specific forms.
A related feature, Springboard's new remote gift strings, allows organizations to set personalized gift strings for potential and returning donors via external sites (for instance, yourwebsite.org), which follow a donor to any Springboard forms they visit. And finally, new gift string tracking captures the presence of a donor's personalized gift string -- in their URL or cookies - and syncs this information to Salesforce for reporting purposes.
The new sustainer series auto-extender allows for sustainers' credit cards to be charged after the card expiration date has passed. If the card continues to process successfully, a sustaining gift can continue to be charged monthly without the series being cancelled. When a card fails, the auto-extender works with auto-cancel settings to correctly cancel the series.
We're thrilled to expand Springboard to offer local advocacy data, in addition to federal and state advocacy. Organizations can now target messages, petitions, social actions, and more to elected officials at the county and municipal level, with all of the same message download and delivery options available for federal and state officials.
Peer to Peer
Springboard now features a new peer to peer communications hub, giving on-the-ground supporters and campaigners the ability to do their own cultivation of their networks in service of your cause. Following marketing-automation best practices, campaigners can email friends and family any time and at key stages of their campaign, track progress and results, respond to individual actions taken, and send reminders and thank you messages, all within your peer to peer event. All communications hub links include market source fields, allowing organizations to track the success of campaigns and campaigners in Salesforce, and your campaigners can also see the direct impact of their cultivation activities in the communications hub.
Our latest enhancements also include features to support both peer to peer advocacy and peer to peer fundraising, allowing both types of campaigns to more easily coexist for organizations that want to catalyze the network effect of their campaigners with multiple types of efforts.
Marketing & User Experience
The new Springboard remote market source feature allows organizations to collect market source parameters from non-Springboard forms and sites and pass them through Springboard into Salesforce, providing an even wider picture of supporter behavior through multiple steps of an interaction.
And finally, the Springboard Knowledge Base is our latest effort to support information-seeking, learning, and self-training by the wonderful organizations using Springboard. The Knowledge Base provides comprehensive how-to information and extensive product documentation, organized in an easy-to-search, simple-to-navigate interface, accessible directly from each organization's Springboard interface.
Other Highlights & Improvements
As always, each release also includes system maintenance and infrastructure tuning for optimal performance, small improvements to the user-interface to make admins' lives easier, and a variety of other enhancements and updates.
