We’re excited to welcome Springboard 4.17 to town, featuring a number of usability and user-experience improvements.
- A customizable app switcher to easily move between systems
- Streamlined navigation and landing pages
- User-preferred salutations for advocacy actions
Organizations using Springboard are working in a tightly integrated ecosystem of digital-engagement and CRM tools, moving between platforms such as Springboard, Salesforce, and their Email system when creating a campaign. Springboard 4.17 introduces a customizable app-switcher, which allows each organization to determine which apps its team uses most frequently and easily access each directly from the Springboard menu.
In 4.17, we’re rolling out a first round of user-experience enhancements to make using Springboard simpler, speedier, and more enjoyable. A new navigation menu groups all of the interactive forms by type and provides quicker access to type-specific landing pages, providing quicker access to past-used forms for cloning, editing, and configuring. Top-level tabs still provide roll-up landing pages that allow a user to access all forms within a category (such as all Advocacy forms), while simplifying form location in order to allow for easier cloning.
In addition, many small usability enhancements were made to landing pages, such as making configuration options easier to find in the updated Settings area.
When offering supporters the chance to take action by contacting a decision-maker, organizations can now present their supporters with a customized list of salutations tailored specifically for their audience, such as profession-specific (e.g. Dr) or gender-neutral (e.g. Mx) salutations. This allows orgs to offer the most inclusive action-taking experience for their supporters, however those supporters identify.
If a legislator or decision-maker doesn’t accept a custom salutation, supporters will be prompted to select an alternate salutation to be used for that specific message.
Improvements & Updates
As of 4.17, the Springboard API is now compatible with Message Actions and Petitions (single-step). And as with all Springboard releases, 4.17 also includes a number of other small enhancements, performance improvements, maintenance, and bug updates.
