Getting started with online fundraising in Drupal doesn’t have to be hard. Armed with only a Drupal website, an SSL certificate and a merchant account, you can start processing online donations in no time. That’s because one of the premiere features of the Springboard Drupal distribution is online fundraising. In this 2 part series I'll walk you through the process of installing Springboard fundraising and configuring your first donation form.

When people ask me what I do, this is the answer I give them:  I'm a technology consultant for nonprofits.  This is usually followed by:

"Do you do fundraising consulting?"  No. 

"Oh, so you do web design?" Er...no.

Genesis:

The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) goes live with new fundraising features for Drupal!

Jackson River's Springboard solution was rolled out to integrate CNAS's Drupal website with Salesforce.com; creating a full-featured online fundraising and email sign-up solution.

Today, Save The Bay launched their 5th annual Bay Trash Hot Spots campaign. This year, Save The Bay highlights 225 creeks and shorelines areas in the San Francisco Bay area that have toxic levels of refuse.

The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) works to make women in developing countries an integral part of alleviating global poverty. The launch of ICRW's brand new Springboard-powered site -- ICRW.org -- not only showcases the depth of their research through robust library searches; it also illustrates the interconnectedness between their research, projects, and resulting policy. Streamlined information design then makes their content accessible to a broad, international audience.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) migrated to Springboard in fall of 2009 to power all their online fundraising, website management, and petition needs. Since then, IRC has taken advantage of the advanced campaign reporting, metrics, and flexibility to create over 50 unique donation forms.

Spring is in the air in San Francisco and with spring comes change, new life, and a renewed energy after a long winter. Spring has also come to Save The Bay's website - after an aggressive winter implementation we are proud to announce the launch of the new Springboard powered Save The Bay website.
