6 reasons why we're awesome (and hiring)

Once again, Jackson River is hiring. As I posted the jobs on various sites today I was thinking about what makes this company so great. Here are six of many things that make us so awesome. And, they are darn good reasons to consider working here.

1. Our clients. These are progressive nonprofits that really are doing the good work. They are protecting our civil liberties, our right to choose, our environment. They are saving endangered species, working for a safer world, and sometimes writing really long white papers. They actually effect significant and important positive change, and we get to be part of it. We are picky and choosy about our projects - we want good organizations, committed partners, and only take on what we know we can do well. It makes a huge difference (see #5)

2. We have the only enterprise level Drupal solution for online fundraising, advocacy and marketing. Drupal is the leading open source platform, and our Drupal distribution, Springboard is incredibly, wonderfuly, successful. People love having a flexible and easily customizable alternative to SaaS providers, and this one is the best. Our phone is ringing off the hook.

3. We have incredibly caring and talented people, and we do REALLY GOOD WORK. The best team I've ever had the honor of working with.

4. Most of us can wear our pajamas to work. Although half of us are in our snazzy new office space in Dupont Circle in the heart of Washington, DC, the other half work virtually. I guess we DC folks could wear our jammies to the office, but so far we haven't.

5. Our clients love us. 100% of our work is from referrals. That means, ALL of our work comes in the door because someone, somewhere, has said we're awesome an told their friends. It's a high bar, and our staff continues to go above and beyond on every project.

6. It doesn't matter which monkey you prefer, but you will get asked in a job interview.
